Salvation is deliverance (freedom) from the control of sin. 

Why must I be saved?  

You should be saved because God loves you and wants you to be saved (John 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:3,4).  Jesus died for your sins so that you can have an abundant and eternal life.  

What does knowing Jesus have to do with my salvation?  

Jesus is the only way to the Father according to John 14:6.  

Prayer of Salvation - Receiving Christ in Your Heart 

Heavenly Father, I realize and admit that I am a sinner.  I repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me.  You said in your Word, "...Whosever shall call upon the names of the lord shall be saved."  (Romans 10:13).  Jesus, I'm calling on your name.  I believe with my heart that you were raised from the dead so that I may live eternally.  I confess you now as my Lord.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Hallelujah, I am saved!  Amen.

Prayer of Rededication - Rededicating Your Life to Christ  

Heavenly Father I am sorry for my sins and I have strayed from you.  I ask you to forgive me now as I repent of my sin.  Renew and revive me as I once again follow you as my God.  Thank you for forgiveness.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
